My gp referred me to this neurologist. I had been having awful, absolutely debilitating pains that had progressed slowly over a couple of years. It started as numbness and warmth in my legs and face and buttocks. It progressed to a level of unbelievable pain, extreme weakness anns pins and needles in my entire body for days at a time. burning over my entire body, my back would feel so so weak as would my legs to the point I can’t even stand. Burning, weakness, a pulsating numbness over my entire body and migraine that would last months with not even a seconds break. I had hoped to be armed with a full mri of my spine for the appointment, but for some reason my doc only issued me to have a lower spinal mri. I left the appointment thinking he seemed better than the reviews I had read. He basically convinced me there are no more tests and that I’ve had them all and since I have symptoms in my hips and legs but the lower mri is normal then it must be unexplainable (or in my head due to trauma in my past- which I don’t have). I have since (about a month later) been diagnosed with 2 syrinx (fluid cysts in my spinal canal) after I pushed my doc to sort me an upper mri. The longer these things are left the more the nerve damage is permanent. Classic symptom's of syrinx are, numbness, weakness, back ache and leg pain, joint pain and headaches. All the symptoms I described to him. . They are most commonly found in the upper back. For 250 quid you think he would have known my symptoms are that of a syrinx and to request an upper mri.my symptoms have progressed so much now I am basically bed bound and in so much pain which may be irreversible. He did some tests when I was there, like my reflexes etc and pin prick tests, and said “there is nothing wrong with my nervous system”. Well, actually there is. And it’s a serious one. For 250 quid for about 20 mins or less you expect no stone to be left unturned. Defo would not recommend unless you like spending money on nothing . A

I saw this Dr (I say Dr lightly ) last week . I came away having an anxiety attack . Never been so upset . Disregarded anything I had to say or what I had already been diagnosed with . It’s 2023 and he was looking at MRIs from 2008 and saying there’s nothing wrong with me when I’m fact since then I’ve already had pituitary brain surgery and the neurologists doing that who did mri on my brain after for a base line after surgery has found something else either benign pathology or a low grade glioma . They transferred me to a local neurologist to help me so that I’m not travelling for miles . Instead I’m greeted with someone with no bedside manner , not looking or believing my recent history etc etc . Never had such a bad experience with a dr (and I’ve had a few believe me ) . Not to mention he was running late (I was only 2 on list but he arrived v.late ) and dresses in what looked like joggers and a T-shirt .

Awful awful experience with this person (sorry but I don't regard him as a 'Doctor' - a person is only a doctor if they have the necessary skills, of which I saw very few). First time I saw him he seemed very keen to help, but it was obvious he had no idea about my health conditions. He agreed to do MRI scans. Went back at a later date and he just sat at his desk like a statue of stone, no greeting, no smile - it was very very peculiar. It wasn't very long before I decided to get out of there fast (if there's one thing he's good at it's making you feel totally unwanted and unwelcome). It was supposed to be a 30 min appointment, but only lasted 10 minutes maximum. If that's what he does to everyone then I can't help wondering what hobbies he pursues in his spare time. I couldn't possibly recommend him to anyone - that would be risky.

Saw Dr Redmond privately. He failed to diagnose and treat a serious condition. I felt I wasn’t listened to by this consultant and he made no effort to try and get to the bottom of my problem despite me being in a lot of pain. I also got the impression he wanted me out of the door asap as he obviously had no idea what was wrong. I was sent back to my gp with painkillers (which didn’t work unsurprisingly). Thankfully after seeing another consultant I was immediately put on the correct treatment for my condition. I do not recommend Dr Redmond, my visits were a total waste of time and money.

Absolutely awful experienxmce with this man. Did not allow me the time to speak, was very rude and obnoxious. Refuses requested mri's and tells you what you have is all in your head. Told me i was obsessed with scans when i requested one as he had refused my drs referral. Finally had scan which lead to many others and discovered i have MS. He left me in the worst possible state ever. He may have experience in neurology but he lacks people skills. Quite frankly the worst i have been treated ever in a medical way.
